ANALYSIS OF DETERMINANTS AFFECTING INCOME OF ARTISANAL FISHERMEN IN TEGAL CITY

The fisheries sector, especially capture fisheries, is the leading sector in Tegal City. Fisheries activities City are concentrated Tegalsari Coastal Fishery Port (PPP) where majority of perpetrators small fishermen. Traditional fishermen who artisanal generally live below poverty line. Based on data from Department Maritime Affairs and 2014, almost 12,589 people worked as fishermen, consisting 630 skippers or ship owners 11,959 workers crew members (ABK). low income traditional a long-standing problem, but it has not been resolved until now. purpose this study was to analyze factors that affect types used primary secondary data. Primary obtained by distributing questionnaires respondents, while studying literature relevant research. Respondents were determined through purposive sampling many 140 respondents. Data analysis multiple linear regression with help SPSS 22 software. results showed 4 independent variables studied (age, education, number family dependents, total expenditure) found 2 significantly influenced level Indonesia. City, namely dependents expenses
